Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect personal information.

This policy explains how OriGene Biosolutions (OriGene Academic Press), publisher of International Journal of Advances in Interdisciplinary Research, handles personal information collected through this website and its editorial system. Contact: submissions@ijaidr.org, 164/8, Shastri Street, Narasothipatti, Salem – 636 004, Tamil Nadu, India.

What we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form), affiliation, country, ORCID iD, areas of expertise and, if you provide it, phone number.
  • Submission information: manuscripts and files, the names, affiliations, email addresses and phone numbers of all authors, suggested reviewers, declarations and correspondence.
  • Peer-review information: reviewer invitations, responses, reports and recommendations.
  • Payment information: invoices, the transaction reference you enter and, if you upload one, a payment screenshot. We do not collect or store card or bank account numbers.
  • Licence records: the name, date, time and IP address recorded when the Licence to Publish is signed.
  • Technical information: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and standard web-server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) used for security.

Why we use it

  • To manage submissions, peer review, decisions, publication and payments, and to communicate with authors, reviewers and editors.
  • To publish the article and its metadata. When an article is published, the authors' names, affiliations, ORCID iDs and the corresponding author's email become public on the article page and are sent to Crossref, Google Scholar and indexing services. This is a normal and necessary part of scholarly publishing.
  • To keep the scholarly record accurate and to investigate possible misconduct, in line with COPE guidelines.
  • To send journal news or calls for papers — only if you subscribe, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Confidentiality of peer review

Review is double-blind: reviewers do not see author names, and authors do not see reviewer names. Reviewers' confidential comments to the editor are never shared with authors. Manuscripts under review are confidential and are not shared outside the editorial process.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with: editors and reviewers handling the manuscript (to the extent needed), our hosting and email providers that run this service, Crossref and indexing services for published articles, and authorities where required by law.

How long we keep it

  • Published articles and their editorial records are kept permanently as part of the scholarly record.
  • Records of rejected or withdrawn manuscripts are kept for up to five years, to handle appeals and detect duplicate submissions, and then deleted.
  • Payment and invoice records are kept for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law.
  • Inactive accounts may be deleted on request.

Your rights

You can view and correct your profile at any time under My account in the editorial system. You may ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Information that forms part of a published article or of the editorial record of a published article cannot be deleted, but can be corrected. Write to submissions@ijaidr.org; we reply within 30 days.

Security

The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Manuscript files and payment screenshots are stored in a private area that can only be opened by authorised users after logging in. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes.

Changes
