The publisher, OriGene Biosolutions, is committed to keeping every article published in International Journal of Advances in Interdisciplinary Research permanently and freely available, and to keeping the scholarly record intact.
Current arrangements
- Permanent hosting. Every article has a permanent landing page and PDF on this website; back issues available online are listed in the Archives.
- Persistent identifiers. Articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref (prefix 10.29191), so that links continue to work even if the website address changes.
- Open metadata. Article metadata is openly available for harvesting through our OAI-PMH interface (oai.php) and RSS feed, and is indexed by Google Scholar.
- Backups. The editorial database is backed up automatically every week and the website and article files are covered by the hosting provider's regular backups; the publisher keeps periodic copies off the server.
- Author self-archiving. Authors may deposit any version of their article in institutional or subject repositories without embargo (see Preprints & Repositories), which creates further independent copies.
Long-term preservation
The journal is arranging deposit of its published content with an independent long-term preservation service so that the content remains available even if the journal or publisher ceases to operate. This page will name the service as soon as the arrangement is in place.
If the journal ceases publication
If the journal stops publishing or changes publisher, the publisher will keep the archive online, keep all DOIs resolving to the articles, and transfer the archive and DOIs to the new publisher or to a preservation service. Published articles will never be removed except under the conditions described in our Corrections & Retractions policy, and retracted articles remain available with a clear retraction notice.
